Logo design for Root876, an event based in Brixton. Inspired by Roots, Dub, Lover’s Rock, and Dancehall. The branding reflects that foundation through a vibrant red, gold, and green palette, drawing from the cultural energy tied to those genres. The final layout was selected from a series of client sketches. I chose to portray a “route” within the logo as a subtle play on the event name. To represent the music element, two speaker boxes were illustrated to act as the ‘O’s in “Root,” grounding the identity in sound system culture.
